2024-2025 Class Offerings

  • AP and Honors English Group Classes

    Recommended for high school students who are currently enrolled, or will soon enroll in Honors English, AP Language Arts, or AP Literature and Composition. Under Jeanine’s guidance, students discuss literature, learn how to develop AP English-style essays, conduct peer reviews of each other’s work, and prepare for end-of-the-year AP English exams in a lively, supportive environment.

    Cost: $65 per student, per class

    Size: Maximum 6 students per class

  • Test Preparation: PSAT/SAT/ACT Reading and Writing Group Classes

    Recommended for high school students who want targeted help on the Reading Comprehension and Grammar sections of the PSAT, SAT, and/or ACT. Under Jeanine’s guidance, students learn both short and long-term strategies for optimizing their scores.

  • General Reading and Writing Enrichment Group Classes for Grades 5-12

    Recommended for middle and high school students who want to improve their overall Language Arts skills. Under Jeanine’s guidance, students analyze thought-provoking current events articles aimed at building their vocabularies, expanding their general knowledge, sharpening their critical thinking skills, and laying the foundation for the SAT/ACT. They engage in lively debates and plan argumentative essays around contemporary topics. Additionally, students learn how to read and analyze classic literature, putting them on track for future Honors and Advanced Placement English classes.

  • Private Sessions

    Recommended for students who require customized help with college application essays, individual school assignments, or targeted test preparation. Private sessions are also recommended for students who do not thrive in a group setting.

    Cost: $140/hour (January - May)

    $175/hour (June - December)
